We naturally love anything Long Island related here on LI, but vintage maps we adore! This one is a brand new discovery and we're delighted to present it to you! It is the most attractive one I've yet to see, far nicer than the previous one we've had in the store in the past.

This is a pictograph drawn of Long Island, New York in 1902 during Theodore Roosevelt's first year in office as our 26th President. It was commissioned by President Theodore Roosevelt, who was born in NY. It features LI town names in a vintage black typeface in their locations that doesn't at all interfere or detract from the beauty of the print.

All the 1902 towns are included, here's just a few listed for my locals: Sayville, Oakdale, Bayport, Blue Point, Patchogue, Mattituck, Cutchogue, Southold, Islip, Bay Shore, Fire Island, all of the Hamptons, and so so many more. Areas on the North Shore, South Shore, North Fork, South Fork, Nassau County, Suffolk County, Brooklyn areas, New York City and more!

Up close it depicts LI from an aerial viewpoint. It's a winner, with a clear design (not clear here to protect against image piracy - dark marks on the water are boats) featuring fine details like bridges, boats, and LI's Railroad stations in 1902. It is newly reprinted on a semi glossy stock paper with a crisp white 1/2" border that you can mat over or leave visible. And the price? Outstanding!

This one is our holiday gift top pick for LI lovers!
